How to Connect Phone to Computer Using Bluetooth?

Step 1: Make Sure That Your Computer Has Bluetooth

Some laptops have Bluetooth, however, some are not. If your computer doesn't have Bluetooth, you need to buy a Bluetooth Adapter.

Tip: You can buy a USB Bluetooth Adapter cheaply on sites like Amazon, EBay, etc.

Step 2: Install Driver for Bluetooth Device

Right click "My Computer" on desktop, then find "Device Manager" to check if you have installed the USB Bluetooth Driver for Adapter. If not, please install Driver for Bluetooth Adapter, and then install a Bluetooth management tool like BlueStarter. And then your desktop taskbar will appear a new icon.

Step 3: Open the Management Tool and Turn on Mobile's Bluetooth

Turn on Bluetooth on your cell phone (almost all Smart phones support Bluetooth), and search for devices. Then Choose "Add a Bluetooth Device" on your computer. And Bluetooth Adapter will scan for any nearby Bluetooth device and read its information. You may be asked to enter a pass code, you can enter something like "1234". Your phone will then ask you to enter in that pass code.

Step 4: Start Transferring

When it is successfully connected, you can choose "Send a File" from the Bluetooth management tool. Send a file from your computer to see if your mobile can receive. If the cell phone can not receive the massage, you need to check the hardware devices and connection.

Smart phones can be connected to computer for data exchange. You can backup e-mails, office documents, photos, contacts and other data which stored in your cell phone on your computer. In this case, you can prevent your data from losing. And this maybe is the best way to transfer data from your mobile phone to your computer, for it doesn't need cables.
